1. How can I adopt an animal?
Select an animal on our website and fill out a short form. We will then contact a representative of our organization to hold a conversation and approve your request.
2. How much does adoption cost?
Adoption is free, but we ask for a symbolic contribution, which covers part of the veterinary costs – vaccines, microchip, passport, deworming (if applicable), tests, castration (if applicable), and transport if the animal is exported.
3. What are the conditions for adopting an animal?
It is important that you can provide:
- a stable home and a safe environment,
- enough time, attention, and care,
- financial means to support, food, and veterinary care.
- Animals are not given as gifts or for life on a chain.
4. Can I adopt an animal if I live abroad?
Yes! Sharo organizes international adoptions, mainly for the Netherlands, Germany, Belgium, and Austria. All documents and transport are arranged by our team and our partners in the respective country.
5. Can I see the animal before adopting it?
Of course! After approval of your request, we can arrange a meeting with the animal (or a video call if you are in another city/country).
6. Can I adopt an animal if I have a small dog?
Yes, we have a special team for adopters with a small dog. We will help you find a suitable dog that fits your living environment and lifestyle.
